CHUM Television brings you another first! "Our Lady Peace Live in Alberta", the First Ever HD Concert to be broadcast in Canada, will air Monday, June 30th at 8:00pm ET on Citytv HD Rogers Channel 286 and Bell ExpressVu Channel 265. Citytv Toronto and Vancouver will simulcast. MusiquePlus will air the concert Tuesday, July 1st at 7:00pm ET. MuchMusic will air on Wednesday, July 2nd at 9:00pm ET.
"Our Lady Peace Live in Alberta" was recorded live in January on their "Fear Of The Trailer Park" tour, as the band played to sold-out crowds at Calgary's Pengrowth Saddledome and Edmonton's SkyReach Centre. Shot with 6 high-definition cameras and directed by MusiquePlus director Rafael Oullet, the show was recorded in its entirety for OLP's upcoming first live album and their first DVD to be released this fall. Set list includes "Superman's Dead", "Innocent", "Not Enough", "Clumsy" and "Somewhere Out There."
Sony Recording Artists Our Lady Peace's latest album "Gravity" was released in North America last June and has surpassed double Platinum in Canada and Gold in the United States. "Gravity" debuted at No. 2 in Canada and No. 9 on the Billboard Top 200 in the United States. The singles "Somewhere Out There" and "Innocent" have topped the charts at radio and MuchMusic.

HDTV Fast Facts
- HDTV is the biggest breakthrough in broadcasting since colour TV. The standard TV aspect ratio is 4:3, HD is much closer to the images shown in movie theatres with 16:9. (The aspect ratio is measured in terms of units, using width vs height)
- The biggest appeal of HD is its clarity. HD pictures are composed of 1080 to 1125 lines of resolution, while standard TV is only 525. The fine-grained HD picture contains FIVE times more information than standard TV and is accompanied by multi-channel CD quality sound.
- By the year 2008, all TV stations in the U.S will be converted to HDTV.
