Rogers Media has raised the Canadian flag with a new 10-year agreement with Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame to be its “Official Media Partner”.

“Rogers Media is proud to partner with Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame, and support the legacy of excellence that has been established,” said Keith Pelley, President, Rogers Media Inc. “Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame is a great inspiration for Canada’s future athletes who strive to be the best.”

Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame boasts 514 inductees, featuring amateur and professional athletes, plus sports builders representing 58 sports. The Hall will open its new state-of-the-art facility at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary on Canada Day, Friday, July 1st.

“As we prepare to open the doors to our new home in Calgary, we are thrilled to partner with Rogers Media to help tell these incredibly inspiring stories with all Canadians and visitors to our country,” said Claire Buffone-Blair, President and Chief Executive Officer, Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame. “Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame is committed to promoting the importance of sport to Canadian culture, families and communities by sharing the compelling stories of our outstanding achievements in Canadian sport.”

As the “Official Media Partner” Rogers Media will broadcast Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame’s annual Induction Dinner, which this year is Tuesday, November 8th in Calgary. RMI will also produce vignettes of the Honoured Members, and support Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame with advertising and marketing across Rogers Broadcasting and Rogers Publishing.

Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame is one of the oldest Halls of Fame in North America, starting in 1955. Its purpose is to honour Canadians who have contributed to sports in Canada either on the field of play as an athlete or behind the scenes as a builder.
