EDGETV takes new rock to the next level with innovative interactive software
that gives its viewers the power to choose. Say goodbye to those so-called
all-request hours where your all-time fave never seems to make the cut. With
EdgeDJ, viewers can become a guest DJ by logging onto
www.edgetv.ca and submitting by e-mail,
their own 30-minute show, complete with video selection, introductions and
commentary. Viewers can also cast their vote for the next video to air and pick
their favourite interview clip. Stay tuned for more details.
In addition to the interactive “programmed by you” features, viewers can witness
brand new concerts including the explosive stage show of punk-funk group RED HOT
CHILI PEPPERS at their Live in the USA concert. The Live At The Astoria concerts
continue with a series of shows that include the darkly hysterical MUSE,
Ireland’s punk pop trio ASH, and hardcore pioneers EMBRACE, among others.
Edge TV also shows off talent closer to home with Toronto’s annual North By
North East (NXNE), which showcases many soon-to-be-famous names. EdgeTV also
covers the CASBYs (Canadian Artists Selected By You) awards show, which gives
the most street credibility to the best in the Canadian music business.

Live at the Astoria

London, England’s Astoria plays host to an incredible range of artists. EDGETV
presents Live at the Astoria concerts, featuring ASH, EMBRACE, MUSE and SHACK,
as well as concert highlight specials featuring MERCURY REV, UNKLE, TRAVIS,
STEREOPHONICS and SPIRITUALIZED, among others.
CASBY Awards

Originally the anti-award show sponsored by Edge 102, the CASBY’s (Canadian
Artists Selected By You) is the only award show voted on solely by fans. Today
it is recognized as the Canadian music awards show with the most street
credibility. EdgeTV presents the highlights of the awards show.
North By North East

North By North East (NXNE) is an annual spring event in Toronto where hundreds
of up-and-coming and/or critically acclaimed bands perform in a week of events
around the city. The festival has become known for high quality music showcasing
many soon-to-be-famous names.
