While many of the regular broadcast network shows are taking a break through the holidays, there are some specials to take their places, including Canada’s Walk of Fame, a CMA Country Christmas, and another pair each of colourized classic episodes of I Love Lucy and The Dick Van Dyke Show. Canada’s Walk of Fame 2018 – 9 to 11pm on CTV

This year’s inductees are actor Seth Rogen and his producing partner Evan Goldberg; SCTV alumnus Andrea Martin; legendary singer-songwriters Leonard Cohen and Andy Kim; Olympic figure skaters Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir; astronaut Chris Hadfield; and entrepreneur and philanthropist Jimmy Pattison. Singer-songwriter Jessie Reyez receives the Allan Slaight Honour for her positive impact on the music industry.

CMA Country Christmas – 8 to 10pm on ABC

Reba McEntire hosts this annual celebration of country music’s greatest stars performing Christmas classics.

Pentatonix: Not So Silent Night – 10 to 11pm on NBC

The a capella group blends classic holiday songs with original jams, featuring other performances by Kelly Clarkson, Backstreet Boys, and Maren Morris.


Darci Lynne: My Hometown Christmas – 9 to 10pm on NBC

If you enjoyed this singing ventriloquist as she became the champion on America’s Got Talent, you may want to check out her special, which features surprise guests and, of course, her puppet pals, Petunia, Oscar, Edna and Katie.


I Love Lucy Christmas Special – 9 to 9:01pm on CBS

The Dick Van Dyke Show Now in Living Color – 9:01 to 10pm

Both Lucy and the Petries are back for another round of colourized episodes, as they do every holiday season.
