This April and May, Corus Entertainment’s kid channels are making time to mention the special things that make mothers magnificent. YTV airs back-to-back episodes of Mother’s Day-themed shows, followed by family favouri te movies like Mrs. Doubtfire. Big Fun Movies presents the premiere of Nicky Deuce, based on Steve Schirripa’s (The Sopranos) book of the same name. The movie special reunites Schirippa with former Sopranos cast members when it debuts on Friday, May 31. Kids won’t want to miss the premieres of two lovable new series on Treehouse, Peter Rabbit, based on Beatrix Potter’s books, and Lalaloopsy, inspired by the famous doll.

CACHE CRAZE – CONTINUING NEW EPISODES
Episode 9: Old Fort Craze airs Saturday, May 4 at 6 p.m.
Three remaining teams enter the site of a historic war fort for one last chance to make it to the finale where they will duke it out for the ten thousand dollar grand prize. The fort is full of hidden caches and explosive surprises with some epic challenges that test their stomachs, their strength and their strategic smarts. This is a battle royale of wits and endurance all the way to the end when one team is finally defeated sending the top two into the finale.
Episode 10: Cache and Burn Season Finale airs Saturday, May 11 at 6 p.m.
In the final episode, the two remaining teams face off in a supersized Craze Maze that doubles as a sci-fi horror movie set. Host Ryan Horwood’s alter ego, (the Evil Doctor Nyar), has stolen the Grand Prize and kidnapped all the eliminated teams as part of a plot to end the world. The teams must complete three intensely insane sci-fi challenges that will foil the evil plan, free the captives and return the grand prize Amaze Ball to its rightful owner. Whoever can do all of that and still collect the most cache points is going to get a $10,000 reward and the title of CACHE CRAZE Champs!

GIRLS NIGHT IN
The Next Star winner Brooklyn Roebuck will be joined in-studio by five tween girls for a Girls Night In during Big Fun Movies to watch the premiere of Step Up 2: The Streets. During breaks, Brooklyn and the girls will discuss the movie and show off their own dance moves with new Twister Rave dance products. Step Up 2: The Streets stars teenager Andie West, who, struggling to figure out where she fits in in life after the death of her parents, clings to the one thing she loves most, dancing with her street crew, Baltimore’s notorious 410. However, after being accepted into the Maryland School of the Arts (MSA), Andie is torn between committing to the conformity of the prestigious school and her loyalty to the street crew. Andie starts up her own street dance crew using all the dance misfits from MSA and together they try to gain respect on the streets and risk expulsion from MSA for participating in street competitions. Step Up 2: The Streets premieres on Friday, April 26 at 7 p.m.

iCarly’s Noah Munck stars as Nicholas Borelli II in Nicky Deuce, along with The Sopranos’ Steve Schirripa, Michael Imperioli, Vincent Curatola and Tony Sirico in the original 90-minute movie special based on the same-titled popular children’s book penned by Schirripa and Charles Fleming.
Nicholas Borelli II, a sheltered suburban teen, has the adventure of a lifetime when his plans for math camp take a sudden turn. Instead, he is forced to spend his summer in Brooklyn, New York, with the family he never knew he had—his Italian grandmother Tutti (Rita Moreno) and Uncle Frankie (Schirripa). A fish out of water, Nicholas leans on the local kids to help him fit in and ends up with a slick new persona: Nicky Deuce. But when Nicky runs into trouble, he discovers a family secret and learns that the tough streets of Brooklyn aren’t always what they seem. Nicky Deuce premieres Friday, May 31 at 7 p.m. on YTV.
