NEW SERIES – Totally Tahitian, Road Trip, Jungle Hooks, Jim Rose Twisted Tour and Travel Sick
“Maeva!” means “Welcome” in Polynesian, and that’s exactly the greeting you’ll find in the hospitable tropical paradise of Tahiti. Beginning Friday, September 12 at 8:30 p.m. ET/9:30 p.m. PT this new, Canadian-produced series explores this
magical island, as well as its sun-drenched neighbours in French Polynesia.

Jeremy Wade has travelled the globe from Africa to Asia and India to the Amazon in a quest to catch the world‘s most dangerous and elusive fish. He has now become the only person to net the flesh-eating Goliath tigerfish, as well as the Indian mahseer, which grows to the size of a human. Now, he is preparing to go after the biggest of them all: the Amazonian Pirarucu, which can grow in excess of 180 kilograms. Hooking this prehistoric-looking beast is as tough as fishing
gets. Jungle Hooks, premiering September 13 at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT, is a riveting five-part series following Jeremy‘s hunt deep into the most remote and inhospitable reaches of the Amazonian jungle, a journey brimming with all the excitement and adrenaline of an Indiana Jones film.
Jim Rose Twisted Tour
Eccentric, astounding and just plain weird – CTV Travel presents a sneak-peak at life on the road with arguably the most outrageous traveling circus in history, Jim Rose Twisted Tour, premiering, Sunday, September 14 at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.
This wacky, off-the-wall, 7-part reality series takes an inside look at the brave – yet bizarre – world of the Jim Rose Circus. Jim Rose Twisted Tour follows internationally renowned performance artist and Ring Leader Jim Rose and
his eccentric troupe as they travel the country entertaining packed houses and passersby with their hair-raising antics.
Performers in this touring band of gypsies include Rose’s wife Bébé, the Circus Queen who swallows scorpions and generates flying sparks; Mr. Lifto, who hangs weights from 11 separate body piercings; Rubber Boy, the contortionist who can fit his entire body through the head of a tennis racket; Cappy, a Yo-Yo expert who can perform any trick imaginable and Rupert, an illusionist who can balance a running lawnmower on his chin. Rose also performs with the group as the Human
Blockhead, drilling nails up his nose, laying his face in broken glass and stapling a five-dollar bill to his forehead.
Surf a sand dune in Morocco, play Golf in a Korean war zone, eat a spider in Cambodia, fight a bullfighter in Spain, catch a greased pig in the Philippines, persuade a dozen women to flash in New Orleans, read a peace poem at a riot in
Germany, eat a road kill sandwich in Australia and join a gang in Los Angeles – these are just a few of the missions presented in this weird and dangerous trip around the globe. Travel Sick, a 15-part series, premieres Sunday, September 14
at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT, with two half-hour back-to-back episodes.

Beginning Tuesday, September 9 at 8 p.m. ET/9 p.m. PT, Places of Mystery returns to CTV Travel for another season with half-hour episodes that take viewers on a virtual excursion of the most mystical, intriguing and timeless places around
the globe. The season kicks-off with tour through England’s Haunted Valley that follows a team of researchers using scientific equipment to explain these strange occurrences. Returning to CTV Travel for a second season is the immensely popular series Valerie Pringle Has Left The Building. Beginning Monday, September 22 at 8 p.m. ET/9 p.m. PT, the always exuberant and energetic Valerie Pringle has geared for
what promises to be another season packed with exhilarating adventures.
