True case files of the paranormal and the unusual unfold before your eyes on Psi Factor. SPACE: The Imagination Station presents a new strip run of the Canadian sci-fi drama, from the first season, every Monday to Friday at 7pm ET beginning Monday, November 3rd.
Originally produced in 1995, Psi Factor fictionalizes the case files of The Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.I.R.), a private organization located in California that scientifically explores incidents that may be paranormal in nature. Topics investigated and dramatized through the show include telekinesis and telepathy, ghosts, human teleportation, alien abductions and more. Each one-hour episode explores one case file (episodes in the first season feature two cases) while the host of the series, Canadian actor Dan Aykroyd (The Blues Brothers, Ghostbusters), adds his commentary before and after each case is re-created.
For years, Aykroyd has studied and been fascinated by the supernatural, paranormal, and events and phenomena that defy easy explanation. He has researched the strange and unusual extensively and brings his personal passion and expertise to Psi Factor.
Psi Factor was created by Christopher Chacon, Peter Ventrella and Dan Aykroyd’s younger brother Peter Aykroyd. The series stars Nancy Anne Sakovich as Lindsay Donner, Matt Frewer as Matt Praeger, Barclay Hope as Peter Axon, Canadian actor Colin Fox as Dr. Anton Hendricks, Joanne Vannicola as Mia Stone, and Soo Garay as Dr. Claire Davison.
