This fall, Bravo grapples with loyalty, family, ambition, and glory in the compelling new drama KINGDOM, premiering exclusively in Canada Monday, Oct. 13 at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. Set in Venice, California, KINGDOM follows the Kulina family in the subculture of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), as they overcome obstacles both in and outside of the ring. The 10-episode, one-hour drama stars Frank Grillo (Warrior) as Alvey Kulina, a MMA legend and owner of Navy St. MMA gym; Nick Jonas as Nate Kulina, Alvey’s prize-fighting youngest son; and Jonathan Tucker (PARENTHOOD) as Jay, Alvey’s eldest and troubled son.
From creator, executive producer, and showrunner Byron Balasco, KINGDOM also stars Matt Lauria (FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS) as Ryan Wheeler, the world-class athlete who had it all, until his spiralling drug addiction landed him in prison; Kiele Sanchez (LOST) as Lisa Prince, Alvey’s girlfriend and business savvy gym owner; and Joanna Going (HOUSE OF CARDS) as Christina Kulina, Alvey’s estranged wife and mother of Jay and Nate.
In the series premiere of KINGDOM, “Set Yourself on Fire” (Monday, Oct. 13 at 10 p.m.) Alvey (Grillo) and Lisa (Sanchez) are struggling to keep Navy Street afloat. Their best hope is Alvey’s son Nate (Jonas), an up and coming fighter. Jay (Tucker), Alvey’s other son, is on the outs with his father. When Lisa’s ex and former MMA champ, Ryan (Lauria) shows up, complications arise.
