This October, new series Fearless in the Kitchen joins the VIVA Cuisine lineup, hosted by celebrity chef Christine Cushing. The paranormal series Living with the Dead also joins the schedule, taking viewers into some of the most haunted homes in the UK. Also this month, the Crowns & Corsets movie event continues, featuring classic titles including Roman Holiday starring Audrey Hepburn (Breakfast at Tiffany’s) and Age of Innocence starring Daniel Day-Lewis (There Will Be Blood) and Michelle Pfeiffer (Hairspray).

FEARLESS IN THE KITCHEN – ORIGINAL SERIES PREMIERE
This month, VIVA premieres the new half-hour original series Fearless in the Kitchen as part of the VIVA Cuisine block. In the series, produced by Fusion Television in association with VIVA, renowned chef and TV personality Christine Cushing transforms a self-admitted culinary disaster into a competent cook. Each episode introduces viewers to a new kitchen-challenged participant, who will be guided by Cushing through a series of food-related tasks and experiences in order to help them become fearless in their own kitchen. In the end, the terrible cook will put their new-found skills to the test as they are thrown into a tense culinary situation. Cushing will coach and encourage the cooks along the way as they try to prove that they can hold their own in the kitchen.

In the first episode, Susan, a busy career woman and mom, is clueless when it comes to cooking – having once garnished a ham with pineapples using nails – and is in desperate need of Christine’s help. Will Susan will be able to pull off cooking for a party at an exclusive club and save face with her doubtful family? Audiences can tune into the premiere on Saturday, October 3 at 7:30 p.m. to find out.

LIVING WITH THE DEAD¬ – SERIES PREMIERE
In Living with the Dead, viewers can follow ghost-busting experts on their quest to restore the well-being of residents who feel their homes are being haunted. Psychic mediums Johnnie Fiori and Ian Lawman go on location and work with homeowners to help these ordinary people who have extraordinarily spooky tales reclaim their homes. Their ultimate goal is not necessarily to clear houses of supernatural activity, but to allow people to live in peace, either alone or with their otherworldly guests. In the first episode, the Living with the Dead team visit the home of comedian Freddie Starr whose life is being turned upside down by the dark paranormal forces that inhabit his home and his person. Viewers can catch this frightening foray into the most haunted homes around the UK when Living with the Dead premieres on Saturday, October 3 at midnight.
