TSN and TSN2 Hit the Course with Live Coverage of the 112th U.S. OPEN

It’s “Golf’s Toughest Test” and it’s coming to Canada’s Sports Leader, as TSN and TSN2 head to The Olympic Club in San Francisco this week for the 112th U.S. OPEN.  Complete live coverage of all four rounds of the tournament begins Thursday, June 14 at 12 noon ET on TSN2 and concludes with the Final on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 17, at 4:30 p.m. ET on TSN2 (see broadcast schedule below).

Live coverage is also available on TSN Mobile TV and on the following Bell Media sports radio stations, which are carrying the Third and Final Rounds: TSN Radio 1050 in Toronto, TSN Radio 990 in Montreal, Team 1040 in Vancouver and Team 1200 in Ottawa.

French-language coverage of the 112th U.S. OPEN is available on RDS and RDS2.

Teeing up the networks’ coverage of golf’s second major event is a 60-minute U.S. OPEN PREVIEW SHOW today and tomorrow at 2 p.m. ET on TSN2

TSN’s Cory Woron hosts coverage of the U.S. OPEN on SPORTSCENTRE all week long from The Olympic Club with former PGA Tour professionalJim Nelford and ScoreGolf Magazine’s Bob Weeks, who files daily reports.

TSN.ca has live streaming of the 8th and 18th holes along with a daily marquee group for the first two rounds, giving fans exclusive live coverage of the U.S. OPEN that goes beyond the television broadcast.  Throughout the tournament, TSN.ca also delivers up-to-the-minute news, daily highlights, features and exclusive player interviews from The Olympic Club.

Representing Canada at the 112th U.S. OPEN is Calgary’s Stephen Ames, who earned his invitation to the tournament last week at a U.S. Open sectional qualifying event in Memphis, TN.  Ames is in tough against a field that boasts defending U.S. OPEN champion Rory McIlroy, along with former champions Tiger Woods, Graeme McDowell and Lee Westwood, plus world No. 1-ranked golfer Luke Donald.  Established in 1860, The Olympic Club is hosting the U.S. OPEN for the fifth time in club history.

The 112th U.S. OPEN is part of a jam-packed Father’s Day Weekend of sports on TSN and TSN2, which also features live action from UEFA EURO 2012, the NBA FINALSCFL, and NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.  CTV also has UEFA EURO 2012 coverage with Denmark vs. Germany on Sunday, June 17 at 2 p.m. ET.  For TSN and TSN2’s complete programming lineup for Father’s Day Weekend, click here.
