Live Coverage of the Prestigious 2012 RYDER CUP Begins Today

Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods headline a world-class field of golfers at the Medinah Country Club in Medinah, Illinois for the 2012 RYDER CUP live on TSN and TSN Mobile TV from September 28 to 30. Canada’s Sports Leader has complete coverage of the prestigious biennial tournament, which pits the best golfers in the USA against the top golfers from Europe across three days of competition (see complete broadcast schedule below). 

The action begins with foursome (two-man teams in alternate shot play) and fourball (two-man teams in better ball competition) matches on Friday, Sept. 28 at 8 a.m. ET and Saturday, Sept. 29 at 9 a.m. ET on TSN. The 2012 RYDER CUP culminates with singles matches on Sunday, Sept. 30 at 12 noon ET on TSN.

TSN.ca has bonus coverage with live streams of four key holes on Friday and Saturday at 8:30 a.m. ET, and on Sunday at 12 noon ET. Fans can also visit TSN.ca for news, highlights, reports, and features throughout the 2012 RYDER CUP.

SPORTSCENTRE will have reports from resident golf expert Bob Weeks, who will also tee up and recap each day of RYDER CUP competition in videos available on TSN.ca.

Led by captain Davis Love III, Team USA features five of the top 10 players in the World Golf Rankings including Tiger Woods (2), Bubba Watson (7), Webb Simpson (8) Jason Dufner (9) and Brandt Snedeker (10), as well as Keegan Bradley (14) and Phil Mickelson (16).

The strong European contingent, led by captain José María Olazábal, includes four of the top five world-ranked players including #1-ranked Rory McIlroy, Luke Donald (3), Lee Westwood (4), and Justin Rose (5). Team Europe will compete for its fifthRYDER CUP title in six events after its dramatic comeback victory in 2010.
