August Brings Real American Heroes To Teletoon Retro

It’s the Joes versus the Cobras this August 1 when TELETOON Retro airs a 24-hour marathon of G.I. Joe, the 1980s animated series about an elite group of military personnel tasked with defeating a dangerous terrorist organization.

Also this month on TELETOON Retro, the classic cartoon schedule sees Spider-Man face off against the Green Goblin, Wile E. Coyote take a trip to Space, and Woody Woodpecker battle Prince John.

July 31 – August 6

Cobra Commander beware. Starting at 9 am ET on August 1, TELETOON Retro is airing a 24-hour G.I. Joe marathon in anticipation of the theatrical release of Rise of the Cobra on August 7. Fans can watch as Duke, Roadblock, Scarlett and the rest of the G.I. Joes protect humankind from COBRA, an evil terrorist organization, in 48 back-to-back episodes of the classic animated series.

August 7 – August 13

Yet another failed attempt at catching the Road Runner leaves Wile E. Coyote orbiting in Space in The Road Runner Show on Saturday, August 8 at 7 pm ET.

In Spider-Man on Monday, August 10 at 6:30 am and 9:30 pm ET, Spidey must defeat a giant, metal-eating monster who threatens Manhattan and then stop the Green Goblin from using a brainwashed J. Jonah Jameson in one of his evil schemes.

August 14 – August 20

On Sunday, August 16 at 11 am ET Woody Woodpecker becomes Robin Hoody Woody to face off against Prince John, Woody has some spooky experiences in a ghost town and Chilly Willy gorges himself on fisherman Smedly’s freshly caught fish aboard a tuna boat in Woody Woodpecker.

Matrix, AndrAIa and Frisket help free the crew of the Saucy Mare from prison, and the mysterious Web Surfer is among the prisoners in Reboot on Wednesday, August 19 at 1 pm ET.

August 21 – August 27

In Merrie Melodies on Tuesday, August 25 at 10:30 am ET, Daffy Duck wants to be a star so he secures a job as Bugs Bunny’s stunt double, Porky and his hen Prissy fight over one of Prissy’s eggs, and Sylvester is thrilled when a group of elves is transformed into mice.
