Music’s most unpredictable night is set to rock out even harder this year. Hosted by comedian Kevin Hart, and jam packed with a who’s who lineup of performers and presenters, viewers won’t want to miss the 2012 MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS, airing live from Los Angeles’ Staples Centre, Thursday, Sept. 6 at 8 p.m., exclusively on MuchMusic. Viewers can start the night right with the red carpet show, airing live at 7 p.m. ET on Much.
This year Canadian mega-star Drake shares top-nominee honours with Rihannawith five nominations each. Additional Canadian nominees include scream-inducing Justin Bieber (two nominations) and Vancouver favourite Carly Rae Jepsen. Also nominated and representing Canada is K’Naan’s hit song featuringNelly Furtado “Is Anybody Out There”, in the “Song with a Message” category.
