Insight Sports announced today that they're launching Gol TV Canada, Canada’s first 24-hour a day soccer channel, o­n Rogers Digital Calbe o­n November 1st.on channel 428.

With a program lineup that features over 1,500 live soccer matches each year, GolTV has rights to broadcast the best soccer matches including UEFA CUP, World Cup Qualifiers, Brazilian Cup, and league play from Italy, Spain, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador and many other countries.

GolTV offers viewers the excitement of live matches, action-packed highlights, informative programming, live daily newscasts, and all the goal action from the most important leagues around the globe. Our network features the world’s greatest soccer stars including David Beckham, Ronaldo, Michael Owens and many other of the sports greatest heroes.

GolTV will be welcomed by passionate Canadian soccer fans from coast to coast. In 2004, over 825,000 Canadian soccer players were registered with the Canadian Soccer Association, making soccer o­ne of the most enjoyed sports in this country. The channel will be offered free for the first few months. Insight Sports is currently in negociations for carriage o­n Bell ExpressVu, Starchoice and others.
