G4techTV Canada offers FREE preview in November

G4techTV Canada is pleased to announce that digital cable and satellite subscribers* will get a free preview month of the best in high-tech and gaming programming as well as feature shows guaranteed to wow the most discerning gamers and technophiles.

Upping the ante, G4techTV Canada is offering viewers a chance to win a five day trip for four to Honolulu, Hawaii and tickets to the NFL Pro Bowl football game in February 2007. Viewers are invited to log onto www.g4techtv.ca between November 1 and November 30, 2006 to fill out the entry ballot. The winner will also receive four passes to the Madden Championship online football gaming tournament being held in Hawaii.

The following shows are just a sample of the great programming on G4techTV Canada.

Call for Help is a daily one-hour show designed to help viewers of all knowledge levels from tech-savvy to novice get the most out of their technology and keep them up-to-date on all the latest technology news and products. The program features responses to viewer calls and viewer e-mails as well as product demonstrations, fun tech tidbits, breakdowns of tech jargon and updates on the latest trends in technology.

Torrent is a weekly one-hour Internet culture show for tech-savvy audiences looking for unique first-person pop-tech stories from around the world. Hosted and co-produced by Matt Harris, Torrent brings the best video podcast segments on the Internet to the living room with entertaining and edgy content that delivers viewers something new each and every week.

Attack of the Show gets you inside, underneath, around, and behind the newest tech, the hottest games, the fastest-breaking news, and the oddest oddities from the fringe.

Beat the Geeks is a one-of-a-kind game show designed to allow the true “geek” to defend his wealth of knowledge, as ordinary contestants summon the courage to challenge the Geeks in their self-proclaimed area of Uber-knowledge.

Cheat! will provide you with game exclusives and the ways to beat them. Each episode will demonstrate how to beat a game with strategy walkthroughs and tips on getting around “choke points”. We’ll also give you hidden secrets and tricks, and, as a last resort, cheat codes.

X-Play gives gamers tips, tricks, and previews for the latest games in its own X-ceptional way. “X-Play” also offers comprehensive reviews of the hottest new videogames on the market and the not-so-hot.

Electric Playground is a Telly Award-winning show that goes on location and behind the scenes of the videogame industry to provide interviews with game developers, previews of upcoming games, industry news, technology features and celebrity gamer segments, as well as a look at the latest gadgets, toys and comics that gamers are interested in.

Upping the ante, G4techTV Canada is offering viewers a chance to win a $5,000 digital makeover by spotting the G4techTV contest icon. Every time the icon is spotted, viewers can enter o­nline (www.g4techtv.ca) by naming the show where they saw the icon. At the end of November, G4techTV will pick o­ne lucky winner to win a $5,000 digital makeover for the hottest tech and gaming gadgets.The following shows are just a sample of the great programming o­n G4techTV Canada.

Call for Help
Call for Help, is hosted by award-winning technology journalist and author Leo Laporte and Canadian technology experts Amber MacArthur and Andy Walker with several guest-hosts including Kevin Rose formerly of Screen Savers (Attack of the Show). Call for Help is designed to help viewers, from the tech savvy to the novice, get the most out of their technology and keep up-to-date o­n the latest technology news and products.
