All right stop, collaborate and…renovate?! That’s right, Vanilla Ice (a.k.a. Robert Van Winkle), 90’s pop-icon and Grammy-nominee is coming to DIY Network Canada with a brand new series that focuses on his long-standing passion for renovation. Premiering February 13 at 8pm ET/ 9pm PT The Vanilla Ice Project showcases the singer’s self-taught home improvement skills as he and his crew of contractors take on their biggest project yet – a complete overhaul of a six-bedroom, five-bathroom, 7,000 square-foot lakefront mansion in Palm Beach, Florida.

After his chart topping hit “Ice, Ice Baby,” Rob turned his focus to buying and flipping houses. Through a lot of research and hands-on experience he’s mastered the basics and been renovating old homes and foreclosures for over 15 years. The Vanilla Ice Project reveals a side of Rob that his fans have never seen.

In each episode cameras follow Rob and his team as they work through each room of the home and its exterior in order to get the house on the market. To spruce up the outside, the crew turns a dilapidated pool and patio into a backyard oasis fully decked out with tiki torches and a fire bowl. Inside they transform rooms from busted to blinged-out by adding a faux coral fire place and bar area to the living room, high-end custom cabinets and top-of-the-line counter tops in the kitchen and a spa-like retreat in the master bathroom. These masters of home renovation leave no room untouched as they prepare to reveal their rockin’ finished product.

DIY Network Canada will be on a national free preview throughout the month of February, making the channel and The Vanilla Ice Project available to 6.2 million Canadians.
