After newlyweds Barbara and Adam Maitland (Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin) are killed in a car crash, they return to their beloved old house where they adjust to their new life as ghosts… until an obnoxious yuppie family buys their house. Since the Maitlands are too nice to effectively scare the family, they enlist the services of a “bio-exorcist” named Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton) to rid the house of its new owners. Directed by Tim Burton, Beetlejuice also stars Catherine O’Hara and Winona Ryder. Beetlejuice ranks 88 on the American Film Institute’s list of America’s 100 Funniest Movies.

After a tragic accident leaves their young son dead, grieving parents John and Rae Ingram (Sam Neill and Nicole Kidman) set out for an extended stay at sea aboard their yacht. One day, they spy a seemingly abandoned yacht, adrift on the calm sea. When they approach the ship, they find a lone survivor (Billy Zane) who tells them that everyone else aboard had died of food poisoning. John and Rae soon learn this stranger is not all he seems.

This taut and suspenseful drama from director Roman Polanski has been called “a political fable in thriller’s clothing” (New York Times). A former political activist living in an unnamed third-world country is convinced that the guest her husband has brought home is the man who once tortured and raped her for the government. George A. Romero and Stephen King bring five tales of terror to the screen. The eclectic cast includes Hal Holbrook, Adrienne Barbeau, Leslie Nielsen, E.G. Marshall, Ed Harris and Ted Danson.
