The Global Television Network expands its award-winning news coverage with the launch of a new morning show in Toronto beginning Monday, July 14.

Airing weekday mornings from 6am to 9am, Global News Morning offers a fast-paced and refreshing morning alternative that will get viewers ready with the information they need to face the day. The addition of Global News Morning will complete Global’s daily news picture by providing Ontario viewers with morning, noon, evening and late-night news information.

“Global News Morning will be providing continual, relevant information for Torontonians, from the news that affects our lives and piques our interest, to how to dress the kids and what routes to take. We won’t be wasting anyone’s time,” said Stephanie Smyth, News Director, Global Toronto.

Anchored by veteran Global News personalities Alan Carter and Christine Crosbie, the show’s format will include top local, national and international news stories and feature up-to-the-minute live reports by Minna Rhee from the streets of Toronto when news breaks. National Post writer David Steinhart will have all the latest business, stocks and market news, with regional weather updates by Josh Classen and traffic reports by Pooja Handa.

Global News Morning – A news start to your day – premieres Monday, July 14 at 6am.
