Canadians love their Big Brother! Two million fans tuned into Global for the season finale of the hit reality show Big Brother. A consistent Top 10 performer both nationally and in all three key markets this summer, last night’s broadcast pulled in its biggest audience in the history of the popular voyeuristic series.
BIG BROTHER SEASON 11 FINALE DATA HIGHLIGHTS:
• 1.15 million viewers in the key demo Adults 18-49 nationally
• Won the night in all three metered markets for A18-49
• Outperformed the closest competitor of the night, CTV’s So You Think You Can Dance Canada, with 35% more viewers 2+ nationally and 82% more viewers A18-49
• Going head-to-head at 10pm with the second episode of CityTV’s all new The Jay Leno show, the Big Brother finale garnered 210% more viewers in Toronto; 30% more viewers in Vancouver; 210% more viewers in Calgary

SURVIVOR: SAMOA Season Premiere
Thursday, September 17 – 8pm ET/PT
The 19th edition of the series begins with 20 castaways being stranded on the South Pacific island nation of Samoa. They are immediately divided into two tribes: Galu and Foa Foa. Next, without speaking to each other, the tribe members select a chief who will make all of their decisions. At tribal council, the first person is voted out of the game.
