This week on CTV: Season finale of BENT and LOVE IN THE WILD, new eps for THE LISTENER

CTV ends July with a shocking cliff-hanger episode of SAVING HOPE, a special guest appearance on THE LISTENER, and the beginning of CTV’s extensive coverage of the London 2012 Olympic Games. Viewers can also catch all-new episodes of THE GLASS HOUSE, MASTERCHEF, HOT IN CLEVELAND, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, and the season finales of BENT and LOVE IN THE WILD. Canadians can tune in to CTV for full coverage of the 2012 Games, from July 27 to August 12 on CTV. 

The season finale of BENT airs July 17th on CTV.

Below is a chronological listing of detailed highlights for July 16–August 12. All programming is subject to change (all times ET/PT; visit CTV.ca to confirm local broadcast times).

Monday, July 16
9 p.m. – MASTERCHEF – “Top 8 Compete” – NEW EPISODE
The judges put on their cowboy boots and take the Top 8 finalists to a Southern California rodeo where they work in teams to prepare, cook and serve a hearty steak meal for some hungry cowboys. The winning team advances to the next round of competition, while the remaining amateur cooks must hop back in the saddle to compete in a heated pressure test.

10 p.m. – THE GLASS HOUSE – NEW EPISODE
In a new episode of THE GLASS HOUSE, the drama continues as the remaining contestants battle it out for a chance to win the $250,000 cash prize.

Tuesday, July 17
8 p.m. – HOT IN CLEVELAND – “How Did You Guys Meet, Anyway?” – NEW EPISODE
While waiting in line for the bathroom at a sports game, Melanie (Valerie Bertinelli), Joy (Jane Leeves), and Victoria (Wendie Malick) tell Elka (Betty White) the story of how they met.

8:30 – BENT– “Tile Date” – SEASON FINALE
While on a romantic getaway to Napa Valley with her boyfriend Ben (Matt Letscher), Alex (Amanda Peet) experiences a romantic dream involving Pete (David Walton) that causes her to question her true feelings. Meanwhile, Alex’s new neighbour Dan (Kyle Bornheimer, You Again), fed up with the crew’s antics and destructive behaviour, threatens legal action.

9 p.m. – MASTERCHEF – “Top 7 Compete” – NEW EPISODE
Celebrity chef Paula Deen (TOP CHEF) joins the MASTERCHEF judging panel and selects the mystery box ingredients, which include traditional southern staples and a comforting surprise. The amateur cook who prepares the most delicious southern-inspired dish will earn a priceless reward.

10 p.m. – LOVE IN THE WILD – NEW EPISODE
Hosted by Jenny McCarthy, jealously flares as the three remaining couples fight for a spot in the final challenge. The couples mount unruly horses, scale waterside cliffs and wrestle rough waters to piece together a map that will lead them to gold, and ultimately the finish line.

Wednesday, July 18
8 p.m. – SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE – LIVE – 2 HOURS
The Top 20 finalists partner up and perform once again before learning who will be ending their journey to be America’s favourite dancer.

10 p.m. – THE LISTENER – “Poisoned Minds” – NEW EPISODE
Toby (Craig Olejnik) and Michelle (Lauren Lee Smith) investigate the death of a pharmaceutical executive who released a drug with killer results.

Thursday, July 19
9 p.m. – SAVING HOPE – “Consenting Adults”– NEW EPISODE
A routine surgical procedure goes awry when Alex’s (Erice Durance) patient, a soon-to-be-wed young woman, falls into a coma. While Alex struggles with a case that hits close to home, Joel (Daniel Gillies) treats a patient who does his own body modifications. Meanwhile, Charlie (Michael Shanks) finds himself drawn to Alex’s coma patient in the spirit world.
(Encore episode airs Sunday, July 22 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CTV)

Saturday, July 21
7 p.m. – CTV MOVIE – STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS (2008)
In the animated film STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS produced by Academy Award®-winner George Lucas (Star Wars) heroic Jedi knights struggle to maintain order and restore peace as the clone wars sweep through the galaxy. Anakin Skywalker (Matt Lanter, 90210) finds himself face-to-face with crime lord Jabba the Hutt (Emmy® Award-winner Kevin Michael Richardson, TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES), and Count Dooku (Christopher Lee, Hugo) will stop at nothing to ensure his demise. On the front-lines of the Clone Wars, Obi-Wan Kenobi (James Arnold Taylor, SCOOBY-DOO! MYSTERY INCORPORATED), Master Yoda (Tom Kane, THE AVENGERS: EARTH’S MIGHTIEST HEROES) and the large clone army resist the forces of the dark side.

9 p.m. – CTV MOVIE – INTO THE BLUE (2005)
In the action drama film INTO THE BLUE, Jared (Paul Walker, The Fast and the Furious) makes his living salvaging wreckage from sunken ships located off the coast of the Bahamas. Currently living with his girlfriend Sam (Golden Globe®-nominee Jessica Alba, Sin City), the pair are paid a visit by Jared’s childhood friend Bryce (Golden Globe®-nominee Scott Caan, ENTOURAGE) and his girlfriend Amanda (Ashley Scott, CSI: MIAMI). While the two couples are diving, Jared discovers the wreckage of a plane used to smuggle drugs and envisions the big score he has always dreamed of. Sam persuades Jared that the cargo is too risky to move but Bryce has other plans and teams up with local underground entrepreneur Primo (Tyson Beckford, Zoolander). He underestimates just how dangerous Primo is and now Jared and Sam must come to his rescue.

Sunday, July 22
7 p.m. – THE LISTENER – “Poisoned Minds” – ENCORE EPISODE

Monday, July 23
9 p.m. – MASTERCHEF – “Top 7 Compete, Part 1” – NEW EPISODE
The remaining six finalists are in for a big surprise when previously eliminated contestants return to the MASTERCHEF kitchen to battle it out for a chance to earn a spot back in the competition.

10 p.m. – THE GLASS HOUSE – NEW EPISODE
In a new episode of THE GLASS HOUSE, the remaining contestants continue to battle it out for a chance to win the $250,000 cash prize.

Tuesday, July 24
8 p.m. – HOT IN CLEVELAND – “Two Girls and a Rhino” – NEW EPISODE
When Joy (Jane Leeves) and Elka (Betty White) learn that their combined scents are an aphrodisiac for the nearly extinct Black Rhinos, they’re forced to live together at the Cleveland zoo until the species is saved.

9 p.m. – MASTERCHEF – “Top 7 Compete, Part 2” – NEW EPISODE
The judges challenge the remaining cooks to use their imagination in the next mystery box challenge, which features shrimp. The hopefuls have a very limited pantry and little time to create a standout dish that will impress the judges. The winner of the mystery box challenge determines which savoury ingredient the remaining hopefuls must incorporate into a dessert dish in the elimination round.

10 p.m. – LOVE IN THE WILD – SEASON FINALE
Hosted by Jenny McCarthy, the final two couples embark on their last challenge, an overnight quest that will test their endurance, strength, resolve, and more importantly, their relationship. This extreme journey forces them to rely on their communication skills by leading them through swampy rice fields, choppy waters, and ultimately to the finish line. Although the couples have built strong bonds, they both experience setbacks as they struggle to finish the race.

Wednesday, July 25
8 p.m. – SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE – LIVE – 2 HOURS
The remaining 16 finalists dance their hearts out in the second performance show to become America’s favourite dancer.

10 p.m. – THE LISTENER – “Now You See Him” – NEW EPISODE
Sergio Di Zio (FLASHPOINT) guest stars in this special episode of THE LISTENER. Magnus Elphrenson (Peter Outerbridge, REGENESIS) escapes prison again, Toby (Craig Olejnik) must help Michelle (Lauren Lee Smith) recapture him before the criminal mastermind seeks vengeance on his nemesis. Meanwhile, as Ryder (Arnold Pinnock) and Oz finish up with a patient at the hospital, Oz (Ennis Esmer) runs into his friend Spike (Sergio Di Zio,), a bomb specialist from the Strategic Response Unit, after getting stitches for a small war wound. When Spike’s uniform catches Sandy’s (Tara Spencer-Nairn) eye, Oz reminds her she should only have eyes for him.

Thursday, July 26
9 p.m. – SAVING HOPE – “Heartsick” – NEW EPISODE
The gloves are off as Alex (Erica Durance) and Dawn (Michelle Nolden) lawyer-up and head to a hearing that will determine who Charlie’s (Michael Shanks) legal decision maker will be – a ruling that could decide whether or not life saving treatment will continue. While they wait, Alex scrubs into a heart transplant surgery and, at the last minute, is joined by Dawn. The two women operate as a team working through the complications with the transplant. In the spirit world, Charlie encounters the owner of the donor heart – a prisoner who died in a violent jail yard dispute. Charlie’s too preoccupied with the hearing to give the prisoner the time of day, but the prisoner needs his guidance when his body begins to reject the heart.
