Lisa LaFlamme Hosts CTV News Special, REMEMBRANCE DAY 2012, Sunday, Nov. 11 on CTV and CTV News Channel

On Sunday, Nov. 11 at 10:30 a.m. ET/7:30 a.m. PT, CTV News pays tribute to the service of the men and women of Canada’s military with expansive national Remembrance Day coverage inREMEMBRANCE DAY 2012. Hosted by Chief Anchor and Senior Editor Lisa LaFlamme, the CTV News team deploys to memorial sites across the nation to commemorate Canada’s heroic veterans in the commercial-free, live, 90-minute broadcast. The special also underlines the incredible stories of selflessness and heroism of Canada’s veterans.

REMEMBRANCE DAY 2012 features live hits from CTV News Ottawa Bureau Chief Robert Fife from Remembrance Day services at the National War Memorial in Ottawa. CTV News Channel’s Mercedes Stephenson will be reporting live from the ceremony at the National War Memorial in Ottawa. Todd Battis, CTV News’ Atlantic Bureau Chief, will be live at the Remembrance Day ceremony in Halifax, a city rich in military history.

Throughout the special, LaFlamme is joined by a panel of expert guests providing analysis, commentary and historical context of Remembrance Day in Canada, including CTV News’ Chief Political Correspondent, Craig Oliver; former Chief of Defence Staff of the Canadian Forces, General (Ret.) Rick Hillier; and award-winning historian and author, Charlotte Gray.

Gurdeep Ahluwalia and Pooja Handa will be live on site at Old City Hall, with Jackie Crandles providing additional live coverage from Queen’s Park at the Ontario Veterans Memorial.
