CTV’s spectacular Sunday night lineup delivered strong performances from 8-11 p.m. last night, with THE AMAZING RACE (2.56 million) winning the night in total viewers and the key adult demos to finish as the second most-watched program of the week, behind CTV’s THE BIG BANG THEORY. Meanwhile, both DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES (1.63 million) and PAN AM (1.46 million) saw double-digit increases last night, up 38% and 24% respectively with total viewers over last week. The three programs respectively won their timeslots to become the Top 3 programs of the night on Canadian television, just one week before the critically lauded new series ONCE UPON A TIME joins the CTV Sunday night lineup on Oct. 23.

Averaging 1.9 million viewers in primetime, CTV more than tripled the average audience of Global (559,000). Meanwhile, CTV Two (785,000) was the #2 network last night, delivering more viewers than CBC (702,000) from 8-11 p.m.

CTV’s Sunday night line-up is flying high, with double-digit growth in total viewers and all key demos compared to last week’s audience:

• At 8 p.m., THE AMAZING RACE, #1 for the night, grew 33% with total viewers, 40% with A18-49 (1.22 million), and 31% with A25-54 (1.17 million)

• At 9 p.m., DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, #2 for the night, grew 38% with total viewers, 75% with A18-49 (673,000) and 56% with A25-54 (685,000)

• At 10 p.m., PAN AM, #3 for the night, grew 24% with total viewers, 29% with A18-49 (634,000) and 17% with A25-54 (636,000). Head-to-head, PAN AM (CTV/ABC) delivered more than twice as many viewers as THE GOOD WIFE (Global; 618,000, down 15% from last week).

Starting this week, CTV’s Sunday night line opens the book on a new must-see program destination, with the premiere of ONCE UPON A TIME at 7 p.m. ET. The modern fairytale follows Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison, HOUSE), as she discovers that she may come from an alternate world and is Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin, BIG LOVE) and Prince Charming’s (Josh Dallas, Thor) missing daughter.

Most of last night’s episodes are available now on demand on the CTV Video Player at CTV.ca.
