CTV’s Canada Day broadcast of the Concert for Diana was watched in part by nearly 3 million Canadians (2.88 million) between 11 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. ET. Hosted by Seamus O’Regan and Tanya Kim, the broadcast peaked at 913,000 viewers during the last hour before finishing with a six-and-half-hour average audience of 519,000.
CTV’s primetime re-cap of Concert for Diana from 7 – 9 p.m. was watched by 747,000 viewers and reached 2.6 million.
Seen in more than 140 countries, the Concert for Diana was a day-long musical tribute to the late princess, on what would have been her 46th birthday.
CTV’s Concert for Diana broadcast comes just six days before CTV presents Live Earth: The Concerts for a Climate in Crisis, an unprecedented 28-hour marathon broadcast on July 6/7.
