OUR REVIEW

Lifetime premiered this series in the summer and they have just announced that they will not renew this series. The initial order for season 1 was 13 epiosdes. After watching the pilot I though that Ally Walker was good in it but I thought the rest of the cast fell a bit flat. The pilot starts off with Ally struggling to get her kids ready for school and making her way to work. The story always goes back and forth from her family and work stuff. You know things will get interesting when a businessman is found dead and the detective disvcovers that he has a wife and a son, a mistress and a girlfriend! Worse, she meets the wife to announce her husband is dead and she reacts like she announced there was no more shampoo in the bathroom.

Ally teams up with Michelle and they take the lead in the investigation even though another detective whom she seems to dislike is suppose to have the official lead. Throughout the show, she confronts him as he has his (wrong) leads about the case and feels quite annoyed at Ally’s input. Of course, she has the OK from the big boss (Lieutenant Felix Valdez) which makes her going around the lead investigastor and just do whatever you wan’t with the case makes it all ok with the boss behind your back!

In all honesty, if you wan’t to see a new show with a female cast investigating things, try the new Charlie’s Angel because this one, good or bad, is gonna be gone from Global in 13 weeks or less.

RATING: Limited success (Has been canceled after 13 epsiodes)

TIMESLOT COMPETITION

The show is against some strong shows like Dancing With The Stars (Results)on ABC/CTV and NCIS: LA on CBS/Global and The Biggest Loser on NBC. Depending on how it performs new sitcom New Girl (followed by Raising Hope) on FOX and Citytv will probably be the only shows it can hope of beating. Additionnaly, Camelot airs on CBC and the new Sarah Michelle Gellar series Ringer ais on The CW.

PREMIERE DATE

The show airs Tuesdays @ 9pm but the premiere will air Tuesday, September 13th @ 8pm, one hour earlier on this occasion only. The following week, it’s back to its regular timeslot at 9pm.
