Citytv announced today that Breakfast Television Winnipeg has named its popular news anchor Courtney Ketchen as co-host of the morning show alongside current host Jeremy John. Ketchen will act as co-host while continuing to anchor the morning newscasts on Breakfast Television Winnipeg. Her debut as co-host will be Monday, June 11.
“Courtney has a rare ability to deliver hard news and instantly switch to a fun, witty and well-informed morning co-host, making her a natural fit for the role,” said Tom Scott, Content Manager, Citytv Winnipeg.

With Ketchen and John at the helm, the Breakfast Television team also includes remote host Drew Kozub, and weather/traffic specialist and entertainment reporter Jenna Khan, as they deliver to viewers the morning news, weather, traffic, community happenings and entertainment from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. CT on Citytv.

Born and raised in Winnipeg, Ketchen began her career in broadcasting with an internship at CTV News Saskatoon. From there she covered the streets of Red Deer, Alta. as a reporter and back-up anchor for CHCA News. Ketchen then moved to TBT News in Thunder Bay, Ont., where she quickly moved up the ranks from video journalist to lead anchor. In 2011 Ketchen joined Breakfast Television as news anchor.
