This summer, Citytv and OMNI Television let the victims do the talking by giving the dead a voice with the new, spine-tingling, true-crime series Final Witness, premiering Wednesday, June 27 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on OMNI Television and Citytv (check local listings). Each one-hour instalment of this seven-episode series provides intimate details of a real-life homicide, told from the imagined vantage point of the victim. Delivering an indelible look into each cold-blooded crime, Final Witness interweaves first-hand accounts from witnesses, law enforcement, prosecutors, family and friends, alongside heart-pounding dramatizations of the crime.

Beginning July 4, Final Witness moves exclusively to Citytv, airing Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

In the series premiere, “The Kids Aren’t Alright,” the callous true-crime murder of the Caffey family is revisited. On March 1, 2008 as the family slept, Terry Caffey, his wife and two young sons were brutally shot. Their attackers set their house ablaze, leaving the family for dead. The sole survivor was family patriarch Terry, who managed to escape from a bathroom window after enduring five bullet wounds. The case takes a shocking turn when the mastermind behind the vicious attack is revealed.

Told from the imagined point-of-view of slain wife and mother, Penny Caffey, the episode uses gripping, scripted dramatizations of the attack, interwoven with real-life crime scene and interrogation videos. Plus, hear first-hand interviews from survivor Terry Caffey, Texas Ranger John Vance, prosecutor Lisa Tanner, and friends and family of both the victims and perpetrators.
