Citytv Announces 2011 Fall Premiere Dates

Summer may be winding to a close but things are just starting to heat up on Citytv, as the Fall season ushers in some of the hottest and most highly-anticipated new and returning shows of the season.

Citytv today confirmed the premiere dates for nine new and 10 returning hit series to Citytv’s Fall prime-time lineup beginning Monday, Sept. 19. Three newly-acquired returning series will now also debut on Citytv.



Showcasing writing and producing from industry heavyweights such as Steven Spielberg, J.J. Abrams and Jonathan Nolan (The Dark Knight), the 2011-12 schedule features the character-driven new dramas Terra NovaThe Playboy Club,Revenge, and Person of Interest, as well as the newly-acquired fan-favourite Private Practice.

From the creative geniuses behind 30 RockModern FamilySex in the City and Hung come hilarious new comedies New Girl, 2 Broke GirlsSuburgatoryLast Man Standing, and newly-acquired Raising Hope and The Middle. Also joining the lineup is the Citytv original series Dussault Inc.

Complementing Citytv’s trailblazing new roster for the Fall 2011 schedule are returning hit dramas Body of Proof andFringe, as well as comedy series Modern Family, How I Met Your Mother, Happy Endings, Community, Parks and Recreation, and Rules of Engagement. Reality favourites The Biggest Loser and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition are also back for another emotional season this Fall.
