Coverage across CBC-TV, bold and cbcsports.ca includes exclusive coverage of women’s quarter-finals, semifinals and final as well as men’s semifinals and final.

CBC is serving up a double dose of world-class tennis action with coverage of both the men’s and women’s events from the Rogers Cup presented by National Bank, the first big test for the ATP and WTA’s top players since London. Canada’s national broadcaster has every angle covered with live broadcasts available exclusively on CBC-TV, bold and cbcsports.ca beginning Saturday, August 11 at 11:30 a.m. ET with the women’s quarter-finals and men’s semifinals (see below for full broadcast schedule).

This year’s men’s and women’s events from the Rogers Cup presented by National Bank – the only Canadian tour stops on the calendar – take place concurrently, with the top male players in the world squaring off at Toronto’s Rexall Centre at York University, while the world’s best female players do battle at Montreal’s Uniprix Stadium. Included in this year’s fields are world no.1 Victoria Azarenka of Belarus as well as Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland, Maria Sharapova of Russia, Samantha Stosur of Australia, and Petra Kvitova of the Czech Republic. Three Canadians are in the main draw with Aleksandra Wosniak, Stéphanie Dubois and Eugenie Bouchard. In the men’s draw, the top contenders from London come to town including Andy Murray, Juan Martin Del Potro and Novak Djokovic. Rising star Milos Raonic, alongside fellow Canadians Vasek Pospisil and Frank Dancevic, will all be in action in Toronto.

This year’s Rogers Cup presented by National Bank broadcasts feature more action-packed coverage than ever before over a single weekend, including both the men’s and women’s champions being crowned only on CBC.

Elliotte Freidman (@friedgeHNIC) hosts the complete weekend of coverage from the men’s event in Toronto along with studio analysts Justin Gimelstob (@justingimelstob) and guest Tom Tebbutt (@tomtebbutt). Play-by-play for the men’s event is provided by Bruce Rainnie who is joined in the booth by analyst Jimmy Arias with David Amber (@DavidAmber) reporting from courtside. The women’s event from Montreal is anchored by Brenda Irving (@sportswkndbrend) while Scott Oake (@ScottOake) handles the play-by-play alongside analyst Tracy Austin (@thetracyaustin).

Tennis fans have more ways than ever to enjoy all the tennis action through live streaming of the matches, enabled for computer, iPad and iPhone users, as well as staying up-to-date with the latest news, live scores, and video on demand highlights from both the men’s and women’s events at cbcsports.ca. Viewers can join the conversation on Twitter by following @cbcsports and using hashtag #rogerscup and by visiting the CBC Sports Facebook page at facebook.com/cbcsports.
