Le Réseau des sports (RDS) is proud to announce the official launch of its new all sports news and information service Le Réseau Info-Sports (RIS), on Thursday, October 21, at 7 p.m. E.T.

“The launch of Info-Sports is in keeping with the RDS tradition of innovation and bringing the best and most complete sports offering to the francophone viewing public. RIS is a complementary network to RDS. It combines the credibility of Le Réseau des sports and the performance speed of our Web site RDS.ca. It gives the sports fan quick and complete access to all sports news when he or she wants it,” said Gerry Frappier, President of RDS.

RIS will broadcast sports news bulletins in 30-minute loops that are updated continuously. The coverage provided will be among the most complete and will include international, national and regional professional and amateur sports.

RIS news anchors will provide live, up-to-the-minute news, results and highlights from the world of sport during sports prime time. Luc Bellemare, Yannick Bouchard, Stéphane Langdeau and Patrick Mahoney will be the featured anchors on this new sports news service.

According to Charles Perreault, Executive News Producer, RDS: “Visually, the RIS screen will be rich and varied in content with spaces provided for continuous news scrolls as well as box score information and news on upcoming events.”

With Le Réseau Info-Sports, you will be the First to Know.
