The Global Television Network drew its best audience to date for the Toronto Molson Indy on Sunday, July 7, making it the most watched Toronto Molson Indy in Ontario since 1998.
Among adults 18+, the race drew 305,000 viewers in Ontario, according to Nielsen Media Research, and an estimated national audience of 500,000.
One of Canada’s biggest sporting events, the 17th annual Toronto Molson Indy was televised live from Exhibition Stadium in Toronto. After 112 laps, Brazilian Cristiano da Matta won his fourth straight CART victory to set a series record.
Global Television will present live coverage of the Vancouver Molson Indy from Concord Pacific Place on Sunday, July 28 and the Montreal Molson Indy from Circuit Gilles Villeneuve on Sunday, August 25.
