APTN News and Current Affairs will broadcast live coverage of the 41st Canadian federal election May 2, 2011 from 9 to 11 pm Central Time.
The special broadcast will be hosted in-studio by Cheryl McKenzie and Todd Lamirande while APTN National News co-anchors Michael Hutchinson and Dana Foster will report from campaign headquarters in Winnipeg. Reports will also be filed from various ridings across the country.

Thirty-three Aboriginal candidates are fighting for seats in 24 ridings across Canada, and billions of dollars in platform promises for First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Peoples are on the line. Indigenous voices are speaking louder in Ottawa and APTN is listening.
