2019 EE British Academy Film Awards
Sunday, February 10 at 6 p.m. ET on HS00
Hosted by Joanna Lumley (Absolutely Fabulous)
Hosted by British actress Joanna Lumley for the second consecutive year, this London-based award show celebrates the best in film from the UK and around the world. The Favourite is the favourite with 12 nominations and poignant Mexican drama, Roma, follows with seven, as do First Man, A Star is Born and Bohemian Rhapsody. As a nod to woke times, the BAFTAs are setting the stage for change in film by implementing new eligibility requirements in the categories for Outstanding British Film and Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer to increase inclusion and depiction of under-represented groups.
