Turner Classic Movies (TCM) has the ultimate line-up in February for a month-long tribute to movies honored by the Academy Awards®. This year, TCM’s annual salute to the movies nominated for or awarded Hollywood’s most prestigious prize will make its debut in Canada. The festival kicks off on Wednesday, Feb. 1, at 6 a.m. with Mogambo, featuring Ava Gardner, and ends with Lust for Life on Friday, March 3, two days before the 78th Annual Academy Awards.
Official Oscar® biographer and TCM prime time host Robert Osborne is available for interviews. The columnist-critic for The Hollywood Reporter will receive a star on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame on Feb. 1. His latest book, the updated 75 Years of the Oscar®, was written at the special request of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and has been called “the most comprehensive and definitive book ever done on the subject.”
The 78th Annual Academy Awards airs Sunday, March 5, at 8 p.m. ET on CTV.
