CBC announced this week that its new digital channel documentary—formerly The Documentary Channel—has secured an exclusive deal to air a Sundance Channel branded block of programming which will expose Canadian audiences to the world-renowned brand and the programming associated with it. Canada’s new home for provocative and entertaining documentary programming will feature films and series produced by the U.S network as well as titles from other sources that share Sundance Channel’s spirit and vision.

On paper, this documentary about the relationship between a gentle, often-itinerant 50-ish "Dharma bum" and a wild flock of birds sounds like a sure cure for insomnia.
