In her first lead role in a television series, Glenn Close stars as a charismatic but cunning litigator in Damages. At last night’s Golden Globe® Awards, Close was named Best Actress for her portrayal of the sinister Patty Hewes. This simmering character-driven one-hour drama series intersects high-stakes litigation, an intricately plotted murder mystery, and the personal lives of those involved. Showcase is planning a promotional push in order to launch the critically acclaimed legal thriller in style. The twist-filled series will premiere on Showcase on February 18 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. When Damages premiered on FX on July 24, it ranked as the #1 program of the night on basic cable.

Showcase introduces new "Showcase at 10pm" programming with Saving Gracee, the fourth season of Rescue Me, Jekyll, season 4 of The L Word, the second season of Weeds as well as the third season of It's always Sunny in Philadelphia premiering in november. They also have a new original series called Exes & Ohs and returning with a second season, Rent-A-Goalie as well as the fourth season of Kenny vs. Spenny.

Created by this country’s top film and television comedy talent, these pilots – The Foundation, Pure Evil and Retail – promise to deliver more laughter-inducing programming to Showcase’s loyal audiences.

Showcase is pleased to announce that principal photography begins on February 5th on ten new half-hour comedy episodes of Rent-A-Goalie - the Showcase Original HD series that's become a fan favourite. Cake (series creator Christopher Bolton), continues his struggle to change his life - one goal at a time. Joining him this season are hockey greats Phil Esposito, Tony Esposito, Darryl Sittler, Mike Palmateer and Tie Domi as well as Michael Landsberg of TSN's Off The Record.

| Programming Highlights: Showcase Emergency Viewing Stations Mean You Won't Miss Out! |

To avoid throngs of trampled Canadians every evening this Fall, Showcase is going to great lengths to ensure nothing gets in the way of viewers enjoying the network's UNMISSABLE 10 p.m. line-up. Beginning August 29, Emergency Viewing Stations, mobile Showcase lounges equipped with TV screens, comfortable furniture and lots of popcorn, will patrol the Greater Toronto Area and Vancouver providing vital viewing services. Throughout the day, the outfitted trailers will travel the cities airing ads promoting the line-up and reminding viewers to be home for 10 p.m. Those who can't make it to televisions in time are invited to kick back in the lounge, have a snack and enjoy their favourite Showcase programs. The stations will be on duty from August 29 to September 10.

Kenny Hotz and Spencer Rice star in Kenny vs. Spenny, a unique reality/comedy series revolving around the eternally dysfunctional roommates Kenny and Spenny. Breakthrough Films & Television, and Blueprint Entertainment have announced that 13 new half-hour episodes are in production in Toronto until late August and will air on Showcase in Canada beginning on Thursday, October 19, 2006 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT.

They’re young, they’re brilliant, and they’re punch-drunk bored. Billable Hours, a new Showcase Original series, is set in a big downtown law firm and features a group of over-educated twenty-somethings who are smart and successful, but trapped in their exhausting legal jobs. The series, comprised of eight half-hour episodes, will have its Canadian premiere on Sunday, April 16 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT. This new prime-time comedy series was created by Fabrizio Filippo (Queer as Folk) and Adam Till (The Human Kazoo).

Georgia “George” Lass (Ellen Muth) is a young college dropout who has no job skills and seems unable to take an interest in anything, including her own life. She has an air of cynicism about her that infuriates her mother, baffles her father, and isolates her younger sister. When a piece of the MIR space station falls from the sky and kills her, George is catapulted into an afterlife job as a Grim Reaper, giving life to the first season of Dead Like Me. This series from Showtime stars Ellen Muth, Mandy Patinkin, Jasmine Guy and Rebecca Gayheart.
