MuchMusic and today’s hottest celebs come together to celebrate and inspire young Canadians to “be the change” in MUCH PRESENTS WE DAY 2011, premiering Sunday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. ET. Co-hosted by VAMPIRE DIARIES’ Nina Dobrev and chart-topping, teen-throb Joe Jonas, the one-hour special features highlights from We Day events in Toronto (Sept. 27) and Vancouver (Oct. 13). Organized and produced by Free The Children, We Day is the largest youth-empowerment event of its kind led by international children’s rights activists and Free The Children co-founders Craig and Marc Kielburger. As a companion to the special, additional content from the We Day will be posted on muchmusic.com/weday following the premiere broadcast. Free The Children and MuchMusic revealed today Nina Dobrev, star of the hit series the VAMPIRE DIARIES, will be hosting this year’s We Day event taking place at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto on September 27. Nina will team up with international musician Joe Jonas to lead the electric crowd of 18,000 student leaders through a day of inspiring speeches and performances from an epic line-up of Nobel Peace Laureates, world-renowned social activists, Golden Globe®, Grammy® and JUNO Award winners. In addition to hosting the show Joe Jonas will also perform his hit single See No More from his highly anticipated debut album.

| Ratings: Canada Goes Gaga for Gomez: One Million Viewers Makes 2011 MMVAs MuchMusic’s Biggest Broadcast Ever |

The awards have been handed out, today’s brightest stars have come and gone, and the overnight ratings are in: MuchMusic’s broadcast of the 2011 MUCHMUSIC VIDEO AWARDS is the most-watched broadcast in MuchMusic history! More than one million viewers (1.009 million) watched from 9-11 p.m. last night, making it the most-watched non-news program on all of Canadian television last night, up 10.4% compared to last year’s record-breaker in total viewers (914,000)*, and jumping an incredible 67% in the key A18-34 demo. Viewership also increased by 11% in P12 - 34. When the 8 p.m. PT west coast broadcast is included, the overall audience jumps to 1.2 million viewers. Nearly three million unique viewers (2.8 million) watched some or all of the broadcast.
