HGTV.ca, Canada’s ultimate website for the hottest home related information is launching three original web series offering visitors brand new, exclusive online content. Premiering October 21 the first online series Model Home Showdown consists of five four-minute webisodes featuring dynamic HGTV personalities Cheryl Torrenueva (Superstar Design Challenge, Colin & Justin’s Home Heist) and Andrew Pike (Superstar Design Challenge, Design Rivals) as they each design and fully decorate one model home for Empire Communities in Brantford, Ontario. HGTV Canada is raising the roof after its April 2nd record-breaking day, achieving its highest audience to date with an AMA of 152,000 (2+)*. This day also marked its strongest day for this broadcast year against the younger A18-49 demo, garnering an impressive 82,000 AMA. HGTV continues to broaden its appeal, achieving impressive growth of 32% over last winter among A18-49, and is currently the #7 highest ranked specialty channel in Canada, up over its #9 ranking in fall 2009 (A18-49).
