Sports Programming: Labour Day Classic Games, Live on TSN and TSN HD, Monday

TSN heads into the long weekend with live coverage of four CFL tilts – including the highly-anticipated Labour Day Classic games, as the CFL’s annual traditional rivalries go head-to-head on the gridiron. For the first time in network history, TSN will have live coverage of both Labour Day games on Monday, Sept. 1 with Edmonton @ Calgary at 4 p.m. ET (pre-game at 3:30 p.m. ET) followed by Toronto @ Hamilton at 7:30 p.m. ET. A special edition of SportsCentre will air between the match-ups.

Sports Programming: TSN Announces 2008-09 NHL Broadcast Schedule

O Canada! With more coverage of Canadian teams than ever before, TSN today unveiled its 70-game NHL on TSN broadcast schedule for the 2008-09 regular season. For the first time in network history, all regular season games will feature at least one Canadian team and will be available nationally in High Definition on TSN HD. In addition, TSN will also produce and televise a total of six pre-season games – one for each Canadian club, marking the first time in more than 10 years TSN will air pre-season action.

Ratings: EURO Final Attracts Record 1 Million Viewers on TSN

TSN’s live coverage of yesterday afternoon’s UEFA EURO 2008® final featuring Germany vs. Spain attracted a national average audience of 1.01 million viewers, making it the most watched EURO game ever on TSN. Audience levels peaked at 1.13 million viewers from 4 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET towards the end of the game as Spain defeated Germany 1-0 to win its first European Championship in 44 years.

Ratings: Record Audiences for 108th U.S. Open Championship on TSN

TSN’s live coverage of the first four rounds of the U.S. Open Championship delivered a national average audience of 361,000 viewers, making it the most-watched U.S. Open tournament ever on TSN.
