| Posted
on Thursday, February 17, 2005 - 12:33 PM |
Sci-fi fans are known for their spirited and staunch loyalty to the genre, and Farscape fans proved that persistence and zealous advocacy works. When the cult sci-fi fantasy series Farscape was canceled in 2002, fans worldwide (who call themselves 'Scapers') initiated letter-writing campaigns, organized rallies and launched a national U.S. advertising blitz (which included a front-page ad in Variety) persuading the Sci-Fi Channel and the Jim Henson Company to create Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars. This two-part miniseries offers fans a proper conclusion to the Farscape series, and premieres in Canada on SPACE with part one airing on Friday, March 25 at 9pm ET and part two airing on Saturday, March 26 at 9pm ET.
