NHL Network(tm) Canada drops the puck on the live 2009-10 NHL(r) regular-season schedule Oct. 2 when captain Sidney Crosby and the Stanley Cup(r) champion Pittsburgh Penguins raise a new banner to the Mellon Arena rafters before opening the season against the New York Rangers. In all, NHL Network Canada will televise
30 live games throughout the regular season.

NHL Network will present a comprehensive breakdown of the STANLEY CUP® PLAYOFFS – including player and team features, predictions and analysis – on a special two-hour presentation, the 2009 PLAYOFF PREVIEW, on Monday, April 13 at 8 p.m. ET. The program, available in the United States and Canada, will be hosted by Brian Duff, who will be joined by analyst Gary Green, four-time Stanley Cup winner Larry Murphy and other experts from around the League.

Sports Programming: NHL Network to Broadcast Upcoming AHL Games

The NHL Network today announced it has reached an agreement for broadcast rights to games of the American Hockey League (AHL), the NHL's top development league.
