Allarco Entertainment announced today the signing of a long-term pay television agreement with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. to air the latest feature films, original movies and television series from MGM and United Artists on Superchannel, Canada’s new national English-language pay television network.
Long-time broadcasting veteran Charles Allard is back before the CRTC this week with a unique premium television offering.
"Our application is based on the premise Canadians want something new - not the same programming offered in pseudo-high definition. Our commitment is to programs made by Canadian producers with true HD technology," said Charles Allard, Allarco Entertainment, President and CEO. "To make sure that happens we will provide additional funding to producers on top of regular fees and financing." Note: This channel has yet to be approved by the CRTC.
