Astral Media’s Family Channel continues Family Jams, a summer of exclusive, star-studded, music-themed television events, with Disney Channel Games. Over 50 Disney Channel stars from around the globe convene at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida to compete in comical relay races, grand-scale obstacle courses and all-out-fun challenges in this mini-series featuring the stars of Hannah Montana, Camp Rock, The Cheetah Girls, Wizards of Waverly Place, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, Cory in the House and many other Family series. Disney Channel Games will air in four special presentations Fridays at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT, from August 1 to August 22 leading up to the Games’ closing ceremonies, which will air on Monday, September 1 at 5 p.m. ET/PT, following a marathon of the first four episodes.

Astral Media’s Family Channel has further established itself as the destination for kids, as nearly 420,0001 viewers, aged 8-14, tuned in for the June 20 broadcast of the Jonas Brothers blockbuster Camp Rock. With a 47 per cent share of viewing2, the broadcast of this Disney Channel original movie is now the highest-rated program for this demographic in the last five years, for both specialty and conventional television, surpassing last summer’s record set by the Family Channel broadcast of High School Musical 2.
