Rogers Media Television announced today that the latest member of the OMNI family, OMNI TV Manitoba will launch on Monday, February 6th to viewers in the Winnipeg area. OMNI TV Manitoba is the newly branded, newly licensed television station resulting from Rogers' purchase of NOW TV and the subsequent approval by the CRTC Decision Public Notion 2005-207.

Production news: OMNI Television Awards Development Funding to Dolce Vista International

Rogers OMNI Television today announced that it has awarded $10,000 in development money to Dominika Dittwald and Margarita Semadeni of Dolce Vista International for their pitch "Famous Players." The funds were drawn from OMNI's Independent Producers' Initiative and the prize money was presented at this year's Hot Docs Award Ceremonies, which took place at the Isabel Bader Theatre on Friday, April 29, 2005.

OMNI Television to Launch in HDTV

Effective Wednesday, October 13th, both OMNI.1 and OMNI.2 will be broadcasting in High Definition Television (HDTV), with their signals available exclusively via Rogers (Cable) Television. Channels allocated on the HD tier are 275 for OMNI.1 and 276 for OMNI.2.
