Starting Monday, August 29, 2005, twenty-eight (28) new shows, or returning series with new episodes, are coming to the network, including 13 brand new series, 9 of which are TELETOON Original Productions (including 2 one-hour specials); and 15 returning series with new episodes (3 are from Canadian producers) are finding their way back to the network.
Launching Monday August 29th, TELETOON invites all its kid viewers to its best fall season yet. The TELETOON Original Production, Carl² (Carl Squared), which makes its World Premiere on Sunday, August 7th, at 7pm as a sneak peek presentation and airs regularly on Saturdays and Sundays at 7pm, beginning Saturday, September 3rd, is about 14-year old Carl Crashman, a slacker teen, who possesses his own secret clone. When Carl, a dude with a ‘tude, who accidentally orders his own clone online, is sent his physical duplicate – a clone known as C2, his life completely changes. Carl² is produced by Portfolio Entertainment Inc.Delilah & Julius follows the thrilling adventures of Delilah and Julius, two stylish well-trained teen spies as they travel the globe stopping covert plots for world domination and taking down sinister villains using their wits and skills. This TELETOON Original Production makes its World Premiere as a sneak peek presentation on Sunday, August 14th at 7pm and airs regularly weekends at 4pm, beginning Saturday, September 3rd, catch Delilah & Julius saving the world, one crime at a time. Delilah & Julius is a co-production between DECODE Entertainment and Collideascope Animation Studios. The Life & Times of Juniper Lee, makes its Canadian premiere as a sneak peek presentation on Sunday, August 21st at 7pm and airs regularly Sundays at 5pm beginning Sunday, September 4th. Juniper “June” Lee, is a seemingly normal 11-year-old Asian-American girl, who is the Xuan Ze (pronounced Te-zuan-ze and means “the Protector”) and possesses magical powers to protect the world from unruly creatures like super-strong leprechauns and gnomes, a family honour and burden that has been passed down for generations.TELETOON gets a “passion for fashion” this fall with the launch of Bratz. Based on the hugely popular collection of dolls, Bratz is filled with comedy, adventure, fun and lots of cutting-edge style and cool music. Bratz premieres on Sunday, September 4th at 5:30pm, and airs regularly Sundays at 5:30pm.Alien Racers joins KAPOW!, TELETOON’S all-action programming block this fall, with action excitement, strong characters and a fascinating subplot of universe-shaking proportions. Based on the popular action figures the series premieres as a special 90-minute KAPOW! presentation on Sunday, November 6th, 10pm and airs regularly weekends at 11:30 am. Premiering in November, Planet Sketch, a TELETOON Original Production, brings to life the animation of the master-minds at Aardman Animation in this UK/Canada co-production. Planet Sketch consists of characters in a rapid-fire high-energy format which will grab the attention and tickle the funny bone of its young audience. Catch all the latest and greatest of these new seasons. 6TEEN, the TELETOON Original Production series launched in November 2004, is back with more laughs, and a special one-hour presentation this fall. Catch this group of six best friends as they try to make it through their first part-time jobs and life as teens, in new episodes premiering Sunday, October 9th, at 6pm. The series airs regularly weekdays at 7pm, with a new episode scheduled every Wednesday; and on Sundays at 6pm. Launching the new season is the special Dude of the Living Dead, premiering Saturday, October 1st at 4pm, with an encore presentation on Sunday, October 2nd at 6pm. Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends , is an animated comedy about friendship, adventure and fun among a motley crew of humans and imaginary friends who live together in an orphanage. TELETOON launched the series in March 2005, and is presenting new episodes this fall, starting Wednesday August 31st at 6pm (ET/PT). The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, makes its Canadian premiere as a sneak peek presentation on August 28, at 7pm; starting September 1st, the series airs regularly Thursdays and Fridays at 8:30pm.
