Alliance Atlantis Broadcasting Creates New, In-House Advertising & Partnership Marketing Group

– Alliance Atlantis Broadcast Group has created a new in-house Advertising & Partnership Marketing Group. The creation of this new group will provide the company with a team of professionals dedicated exclusively to all partnership marketing initiatives – including media planning and buying – for its networks, yielding new opportunities, creative ideas and approaches.
“Strategic partnerships – including our partnerships with other media organizations – are an integral component of the brand building efforts for our 12 analog and digital channels,” says Walter Levitt, Vice President Marketing, Alliance Atlantis Broadcast Group. “By combining this function with our existing in-house Marketing and Creative Services teams, we believe that we will deliver world-class, award-winning campaigns that will resonate with viewers and drive brand awareness, subscriptions and tune-in.”
Heading up the new group is Jim Johnson, who will assume the role of Director, Advertising and Partnership Marketing for all 12 networks. Johnson has been with the Alliance Atlantis Broadcast Group since 1994. Prior to this role, Johnson was Director of Marketing responsible for Alliance Atlantis’ Lifestyle Networks (HGTV, Food Network Canada, Life Network and Discovery Health Channel). Johnson has also worked in a promotions capacity for Energy 108 FM, CIAO Radio 530, CHIN Radio/TV International, and Scali, McCabe, Sloves Advertising.
Claire Moran will assume the role of Manager, Advertising Strategy, responsible for media buying and planning for all 12 networks, and will work to highlight and evaluate strategic partnerships for our brands. Moran has recently joined the Alliance Atlantis Broadcast Group from CTV where she was the in-house Media Strategist, overseeing the planning and execution of consumer advertising campaigns for CTV programming and all of the Specialty Networks (including digital). Prior to CTV, Moran was a Media Buyer at Initiative Media and BBDO.
Laura Comello will round out the team assuming the role of Advertising Coordinator. Laura has been with the Alliance Atlantis Broadcast Group for three years and will be expanding her current role as Senior Administrator to include responsibilities associated with the Advertising & Partnership Marketing Group.
