Rogers Cable adds NFL Network to its lineup

Rogers Cable today announced it is the first in Canada to offer the NFL Network to its customers.


The NFL Network is solely devoted to professional football and is every football fan's dream. For those with an appetite for football, fans can catch football greats, both past, present and future, seven days a week, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The NFL Network will be available on Rogers Digital Cable channel 192.

The NFL Network is available now to all Rogers Digital Cable customers until January 31st, 2005. In addition, Rogers Super Sports Pak customers will receive the NFL Network on an extended free preview until April 1st, 2005. After the trial period is over, customers can order the NFL Network as a stand-alone service for $2.49 per month or as part of a Digital Pick Pack.

"Rogers Digital Cable is the place to be for sports fans who demand the best choice in football, baseball, basketball, NASCAR and hockey coverage."

The Rogers Super Sports Pak and the NFL Network are not available on Satellite.

Programming on the NFL Network includes non-stop coverage of the current NFL Playoffs, Super Bowl XXXIX (on Sunday, February 6th), and the NFL Draft on April 23-24th.

NFL Total Access: The most comprehensive and informative show dedicated to the NFL on television. It airs every Monday through Saturday at 7:00 PM ET and is the only year-round show dedicated to the NFL on television.

Game of the Week: More than just a three-minute recap, this series takes fans inside an NFL game highlighting outstanding performances and crucial plays. This 60-minute show reviews current and classic games quarter by quarter, showing fans how the game was won and lost.

Coachspeak: Is a live show featuring Monday press conferences from head coaches in the NFL.

In Their Own Words: The series uses rare interviews, archival action footage and exclusive sound captured on the field, on the sidelines and in the locker room on each subject, to tell a story in his own words, without the use of a host or narration.

Film Sessions: Explores the depths of the massive NFL Films archive to showcase many of its classic, modern and historical specials and documentaries chronicling the history of the NFL and the game of football.

Point After: This show captures all the sights and sounds from post-game press conferences around the league.

Live Games: A total of 76 NFL pre-season and NFL Europe games air on NFL Network from April through August.
