The two largest cable providers in Quebec, Vidéotron and COGECO, will be the first to launch five new French-language European stations on their digital service. EuroNews, Paris Première, planete, Radio France Internationale and RFI Musique will be on the air starting Wednesday, June 19 at 6 p.m. The arrival of these new channels was announced during a press conference this morning, in the presence of representatives of the new services and dignitaries from the French Embassy who supported the process to obtain authorization for broadcasting in Canada.
