Magnum P.I. joins PRIME New Programs / Prime Posted by RAD on Oct 29, 2004 - 01:36 PM PRIME adds Magnum P.I. to its weeknight lineup starting Monday, November 1 at 9:00 p.m. Tom Selleck plays former naval intelligence officer Thomas Sullivan Magnum now a private investigator battling criminals with the aid of his former Vietnam comrades, T.C. Calvin (Larry Manetti) and Rick Wright (Roger E. Mosley). The series also co-stars John Hillerman as the uptight British butler John Higgins III. Magnum P.I. was a huge hit in the 80s, with the first five seasons ranking in the top 20 shows each year. The series ran from 1980 - 1988 and won many awards, including Emmys and Golden Globes for Selleck and Hillerman.
