Don’t Blame the Koalas
(North American Premiere)
Weeknights beginning Sept. 6 at 6:30pm ET and weekends beginning Sept.
11 at 10:30am and 5pm ET
Life for the upper-class King family is turned upside down when they leave
England and relocate to Australia after inheriting an unusual property Down
Under. But what they expect to be a profitable cattle farm turns out to be an
outof-the-way, rundown wildlife park complete with strange Australian animals,
and even stranger Australian relatives – the Kings of Australia. Will they all
be able toget along?

Home On Their Own
(Network Premiere) Weekends beginning Sept. 11 at 8pm ET
It’s a scary concept – your home in your kids’ hands. In Home On Their Own ,
families do the unthinkable and put the kids in charge of home decor. Imagine a
spaceship living room, a video wall in the kitchen or a garden designed for war
games. Using top designers and inventors, the work is carried out over a long
weekend while the parents enjoy a stay at a luxury hotel and health spa.

Powers
(North American Premiere) Winter 2005
Professor Henry Powers and Doctor Mary Holland work with Mark and Song Li –
two 14-year-old psychic researchers – to investigate paranormal mysteries for
government agencies, pol ice forces and other investigative authorities, in
order to unravel mysteries, and uncover hoaxes and fraud. The series’ storylines
are based on scientific fact or actual witness testimony surrounding unexplained
happenings.

The Sleepover Club
(North American Premiere)
Weeknights beginning Sept. 6 at 5:30pm ET/PT and weekends beginning
Sept. 11 at 11am and 5:30pm ET

When you’re 12 years old, life is full of fun and adventure. Based on the
books of the same name, and set in the Australian beachside suburb of Crescent
Bay, The Sleepover Club is made up of five girlfriends who stay over at each
other’s houses and who have created their own secret society with special
rituals and rules – including no boys or parents allowed!

S Club 7
(Network Premiere) Nightly beginning Sept. 6 at 9pm ET

Catch the series that catapulted S Club 7 to the top of the music charts and
into platinum sales in Canada and around the world. This series follows the
exploits of seven band mates who face all kinds of hilarious adventures and
mishaps. The series features S Club 7 performing many of their top hits.

Blackadder
(Network Premiere) Nightly beginning Sept. 6 at 12am ET
Many great dynasties, strong and brave, have played a part in shaping
Britain’s heritage – and the Blackadders are not one of them. This classic
series, starring Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean), provides a comedic twist on British
history.

Pingu

Pingu is a charming young penguin who spends his time playing with friends
and family – always up to mischief and getting himself into comical situations
in his own sub-zero world.


NEW GROOVY MOVIES – Sat. and Sun. at 1 and 6pm ET

Addams Family
They’re spooky and they’re scary... they’re the Addams Family. Based on
the New Yorker cartoon series, Anjelica Huston (Daddy Day Care) stars as the
matriarch in this film about a ghoulish family. When they suddenly find
themselves penniless after a con artist – posing as long-lost uncle Fester –
steals the family fortune, the family is forced to live in a motel room. The
results are hilarious when they try their hands at “normal” jobs like selling
lemonade and reading stories to schoolchildren, in an effort to support
themselves. Also starring Christopher Lloyd (Camp Nowhere), and Christina Ricci
(Casper). U.S., 1991.

Addams Family Values
The Addams welcome a new arrival to the family but Wednesday (Christina
Ricci) and Pugsley (Jimmy Workman, As Good as it Gets) aren’t too pleased with
their new sibling. Meanwhile, a gold-digging nanny (Joan Cusack, The School of
Rock) has her eye on Uncle Fester and when she learns that Wednesday is
suspicious of the romance, she schemes to send her away to summer camp. U.S.,
1993.

All Dogs Christmas Carol
The characters from the animated feature All Dogs Go to Heaven return to
celebrate the holidays. The dogs at the Flea Bite Café are trying to make
Christmas special for Timmy, a puppy waiting for an operation, but when mean
Carface tries to spoil Christmas for everyone, Charlie and Itchy come to the
rescue. Featuring the voices of Steven Weber (Common Ground) and Dom DeLuise
(Baby Geniuses). U.S., 1998.

Babes In Toyland
The Toyland toy factory has just received its biggest order yet – and
it’s only two days before Christmas! But when evil Barnaby plans to shut the
factory down, it’s up to Toyland’s newest arrivals, Jack and his sister Jill, to
save the day. With the help of their friends – Tom Piper, Mary Lamb and Humpty
Dumpty – the two set out to rescue the toy factory and save Christmas. Featuring
the voices of Christopher Plummer (Blizzard) and Lacey Chabert (Mean Girls).

Bad News Bears
Oct. 2 at 1 and 6pm ET
Former minor league baseball player Morris Buttermaker (Walter Matthau,
Grumpy Old Men) is a lazy swimming pool cleaner who makes extra money by
coaching the Bears, a little league baseball team. But the Bears are made up of
a bunch of misfits who have little baseball skill – until Buttermaker brings
aboard ace pitcher, Amanda (Tatum O’Neal, Paper Moon). Suddenly the Bears are
back in the game and determined to take on their rivals in the championships.

Beanstalk
In this live action adaptation of Jack and the Beanstalk , Jac k (J.D. Daniels,
The Mighty Ducks) comes to the rescue after a banker threatens to close down his
town, tear down all the buildings and fill the area with water. U.S., 1994.

Bugsy Malone
A musical with a twist! In this gangster story set in 1929 New York
City, all the gangsters are children who use “splurge guns” that cover their
victims in cream! The story chronicles the rise of Bugsy Malone (Scott Baio,
Baby Geniuses 2) and the battle for power between Fat Sam and Dandy Dan. Also
stars Jodie Foster (Little Man Tate) as a sassy showgirl. U.S., 1976.

Cloak and Dagger
After the death of his mother, young Davey (Henry Thomas, E.T.) retreats
into the make-believe world of video games and the friendship of his imaginary
heropal, Jack Flack (Dabney Coleman, Stuart Little). But when an FBI agent slips
Davey a video cartridge containing top-secret information, real life agents are
soon in hot pursuit. Davey is suddenly plunged into the real-life game of
espionage, and must rely on his video game skills – and the advice of Jack Flack
– to survive. U.S., 1984.

D.A.R.Y.L.
A family finds a young boy, Daryl (Barret Oliver, Cocoon), wandering the
streets without any memory and tries to help him remember who he is and where he
came from. They soon discover that the boy has special abilities, but what they
don’t realize is that Daryl is actually D.A.R.Y.L. (Data Analyzing Robot Youth
Lifeform) – a robot created by the government – and now the Secret Service want
their most powerful weapon back. U.S., 1985.

Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter’s Dead
Five rowdy siblings are less than pleased at being left with an elderly
babysitter while their mother goes on a two-month vacation. But when the
babysitter dies suddenly, the kids are given the run of the house and the fun
begins – that is, until the money runs out and the kids are forced to get jobs.
Stars Christina Applegate (The Sweetest Thing). U.S., 1991.

Explorers
Alien-obsessed Ben (Ethan Hawke, Great Expectations ) decides to build a
spaceship and persuades two friends to join in on the adventure. They soon find
themselves being drawn towards an encounter with some extremely strange aliens.
Also stars River Phoenix (Stand By Me) and Jason Presson (I Know My First Name
is Steven). U.S., 1985.

Getting Even With Dad
Ray (Ted Danson, Cheers) is an ex-con plotting a coin heist when his
son, Timmy (Macaulay Culkin, My Girl) suddenly shows up in the middle of the
planning session. The heist is pulled off nevertheless, but Timmy – tired of
bing ignored – hides some of the stolen coins and promises to give them back
only after he and his dad have spent quality time together. Furious at first,
Ray soon enjoys spending time with his son and ultimately must choose between
love and money when Timmy refuses to stay with his dad unless he gives up the
coins. U.S., 1997.

Liar Liar
Fletcher Reid (Jim Carrey, The Mask) is a lawyer with a big problem –
he’s a compulsive liar. When Reid is forced to tell the truth for 24 hours,
thanks to his son’s supernatural birthday wish, he finds his legal practice in
immediate trouble. Suddenly, what he thought was his best quality – his ability
to fast-talk – has become his biggest problem. U.S., 1997.

My Side of the Mountain
Nov. 14 at 1 and 6pm ET
Thirteen-year-old Sam, an aspiring-scientist, decides to take matters into
his own hands after learning that his family’s summer vacation has been
cancelled – putting his planned algae experiments in jeopardy. He packs a bag,
leaves a note for his family and sets out to conduct his experiments deep in the
heart of the Canadian wilderness. U.S., 1969.

The Nutty Professor
Sherman Klump (Eddie Murphy, Shrek) is an overweight and kind-hearted
professor, admired for his work in DNA restructuring. When he falls for his new
teaching colleague Carla (Jada Pinkett, The Matrix Reloaded), he worries that
his girth will put a stop to any potential romance. In a desperate attempt to
lose weight, he drinks one of his own concoctions. Suddenly Sherman is
transformed into the obnoxious – but incredibly handsome – Buddy Love. Will
Carla fall for the newly svelte and swinging version of the man she once
admired? U.S., 1996.

Rudolf and Frosty’s Christmas In July
Rudolf and Frosty join forces in a summer adventure to save the future
of Christmas and end up helping some friends along the way. Featuring the voices
of Mickey Rooney (Lady and the Tramp II) and Billie Mae Richards (The Care Bears
Movie). U.S., 1979.

Secret of NIMH 2: Timmy to the Rescue
Sept. 12 at 1 and 6pm ET
This sequel to The Secret of NIMH catches up with the Thorn Valley mice who
have everything they could possibly need – except a hero. That’s when they call
upon Timmy, the youngest son of Jonathan Brisby – the mouse who once saved them
all from the evil rats of NIMH. But there’s a problem – Timmy’s a novice, so he
must pass hero training 101 to become a true leader. Soon the mice are
threatened once again and before Timmy even has a chance to graduate, his new
skills are put to the test. U.S., 1998.

Stone Fox
Based on the popular children’s novel, this film stars Joey Cramer (
Flight of the Navigator) as a brave teenager who enters a dog race in order to
win money to save his grandfather’s cattle ranch. U.S./Canada, 1987.

The Real Macaw
Mac, an ancient macaw bird, becomes a saviour for elderly Ben (Jason Robards,
Little Big League) who faces the prospect of a nursing home. It turns out that
Mac knows the location of a buried treasure from his days of living with a
pirate. Ben’s grandson, Sam (Jamie Croft, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The
Movie), decides to join Mac for a treasure hunt only to discover a new resort
built over the burial spot. Will Mac and Sam find a way to save the day? U.S.,
1998.


RETURNING SERIES

Balamory
Weekdays beginning Sept. 6 during the preschool block: between 6:30 and
7am ET/PT
Nominated for a BAFTA in the U.K., this series, set in the fictional village
of Balamory (real-life Tobermory, Scotland), provides informative entertainment
for preschoolers using catchy songs, larger-than-life characters, activities,
puzzles and dances. Featuring the kind and quirky teacher, Miss Hoolie; Edie
McCredie, the bus driver; and Josie Jump, the wacky fitness instructor.

Bits and Bobs
New Episodes in 2005
In this series exclusive to BBC Kids, Fluff and Stuff are lovable puppet
heroes travelling the world in an amazing collecting machine called Trug. Along
the way, they collect and explore – looking, feeling, touching and playing –
often drawing different creative conclusions about their collections. In each
episode, real children appear on a screen inside the Trug and help Fluff and
Stuff to describe their new-found objects.

DIY TV
Sept. 12 at 3:30 and 8:30pm ET
Ever wonder what it would be like to create a TV show? This five-part series
follows 12 British children over the course of a month as they form a production
team and create their own TV show for the BBC. After cross-country auditions,
the successful kids prepare to bring their program idea to life. But the
pressure mounts near the end of the month and the pint-sized producers begin to
wonder if it will all come together.

Fimbles
Weekdays beginning Sept. 6 during the preschool block: between 7 and
7:30am ET/PT
This U.K. preschool hit follows three curious creatures as they embark on a
never-ending path of discovery, exploration and entertainment. Revolving around
three special creatures living in a magical valley, Fimbles encapsulates the
surprise, wonder and stimulation that children experience when discovering new
things. Each new “find” is a catalyst for play, invention and storytelling
within the program.

Kids World Sports
Weeknights beginning Oct. 4 at 4pm ET/PT
Kids World Sports is a high-energy, jam-packed sports documentary series
featuring elite young athletes striving for excellence in their chosen sport. In
each episode, meet two sport enthusiasts between the ages of 12 and 18 as they
share dreams of winning a medal, and explore all aspects of their life – from
friends and family, to school, jobs, training regimes, and even what they
eat.Whether bull riding in Alberta or mountain biking in France, win or lose,
their passion and dedication to their sport is inspiring – watch as they go for
gold!

My Hero
Nightly beginning Sept. 6 at 11:30pm ET
Award-winning comedy actor Ardel O’Hanlon (Father Ted) stars as George
Sunday, a man whose life would be perfectly normal except for one thing: Sunday
is also Thermoman, a superhero from the planet Ultron. In this BBC Kids
exclusive sitcom, best described as Superman meets Mork and Mindy, Sunday dashes
from one catastrophe to another as he juggles his two worlds – that of superhero
and that of an unassuming proprietor of a London health food store who’s married
to a nurse named Janet.

Popular Mechanics for Kids
Weekdays beginning Sept. 6 at 12:30pm ET/PT
In this series, teenage co-hosts take on new adventures and explore things
most kids can only dream about. From manning the helm of a nuclear-powered
submarine to inspecting the world’s highest roller coaster and crawling through
a big city’s underground sewer system, watch as they go where few kids have gone
before!

The Raven
Weekdays beginning Sept. 6 at 4:30pm ET/PT
Part game show, part drama, The Raven has a single goal: Avoid being
eliminated by the Raven and remain the “last one standing.” In this innovative
series exclusive to BBC Kids, each episode’s adventure involves a series of
games and tests undertaken by six players who compete to survive the
challenges and stay in play.

The Really Wild Show

Stitch Up!
