What's up with TV Guide? - An analysis and commentary

When TV Guide changed its format, they decided to drop all diginets from their program listings and grids.

Before they would include the diginets in their grids, but now coverage of the diginets has disappeared completely - except for a small section that gives you two or three program tips (thanks for nothing!).

I feel that the diginets, being Canadian after all, should be included in the TV Guide listings. Because of TV Guide's disservice to our industry, many viewers (myself included) have missed good first-run, never-before-seen-in-Canada shows on channels such as BBC Canada or Mystery.

Now that our diginets have finally increased their viewing numbers, I find it highly counterproductive for one of our leading TV publications to ignore them so blatantly.

TV Times includes diginets not only in the grids, but also in the regular program listings. TV Guide has a larger format now, so it really should not be too difficult to accommodate the diginets at least in the grids.

I invite your comments and urge you contact TV Guide in this matter.
